Boethius’ Consolation of Philosophy was the single most important literary work in western civilization for over eight centuries, and yet you will be hard pressed to find a handful of 21st century educated people who have heard of it, let alone read it. As good moderns we tend to gravitate toward that which is novel and pretends to be progressive. On this page, I intend to review and discuss some of these ignored and forgotten western classics and help us to reconnect to a perennial world views.
